Welcome one and all to The Captain Economy Blog!
A.K.A. Capt. Economy / This is our first post.
We will help you explore ways to save money, get items at a discount, and how to shop for the best deals out there.
It's not always black and white. Buying in bulk can save you a boatload of money because some items will be going up in price as we get deeper into the 21st century.
And then again, some items aren't worth it in thinking that mentality. Like eggs!
Back in January of 2022, here in Central Florida, where chickens go on vacation, a dozen eggs were $0.89 Today they were $4.99
Are the chickens on strike? Do eggs somehow have a new and improved taste?
NO! So we don't buy them until the prices go back down. And eggs will go back down in price.
Right now there are fewer egg-laying hens out there because of the "Bird Flu". So the cause of the high price is; "Supply and Demand".
December 21, 2012 (12/21/12) was going to be the last day of living on this planet as we know it... according to those crazy Mayans. They will go down in history as the biggest practical jokers in the universe.
So what can we learn from this experience?
Lesson 1) Nobody on this planet knows when this system of things, living anywhere on the planet, will end.
Lesson 2) Nobody even remotely can guess how this planet will be cleansed of its wicked inhabitants. Some of us know what events have to happen before that day arrives. And still, some of us know what will be the end result. Because it will be selective and not a mass nuclear holocaust, or asteroids and planets colliding.
So what do we do in the meantime?
Answer: We survive!!! This message is for everybody on this planet.
So put your politics away. Put your hatred of other races and/or nationalities aside, and get on with providing a better place for you and your family to live.
It all falls on your shoulders, Not anyone else or any government has that responsibility. It's yours and yours alone.
So can you do it? Yes!!! Yes, you can!!!
You are reading this post because have acquired enough money to buy an electronic device to display these words.
So don't be crying that you don't have any money to take care of your own and your families! You are just spending too much of it on crap you don't need.
Walk around your house or apartment and look at all the stuff you have bought, that is just sitting there on the shelf taking up space and collecting dust!
Make a list of those things, place how much you paid for it on that same sheet, and try to put a date when you last time anyone in your home used that item.
It might shock you to as how much useless crap you have in your home.
After this exercise, you can then sit down a start making yourself a budget on how much you will REALLY need to live on.
We will help you with that. It's not that difficult to figure out.
So, please subscribe and follow us here at Capt. Economy. We will help you weather the turbulent seas of this world's financial oceans.
If only those crazy Mayans had budgeted their gold and had not spent it on a silly incorrect calendar. After all, they were great mathematicians - Capt. Economy
